This is a very large Ethiopian Wello crystal opal specimen. This specimen used to be one single piece which was broken into 3 pieces during mining. The opal is rare for its large size.
It has been cleaned and carved from its matrix and then stabilized using proprietary methods. The opal is solid and durable and is ready to be mounted and displayed in a museum setting.
